Soil chemical attributes under combinations of organic fertilizing and water salinity

چکیده
ABSTRACT The use of brackish water causes chemical changes in cultivated soils. It is therefore necessary to apply strategies that can minimize its negative impacts, such as the organic fertilizers. This study aimed evaluate field attributes a Red Yellow Argisol under irrigation with saline and fertilizing an area corn. design was randomized blocks, split-plot scheme, plots comprising salinity levels for (0.8 3.0 dS m-1) subplots combinations fertilizers (cattle manure + poultry biofertilizer goat biofertilizer; cattle control), four replications. m-1 has effect on soil attributes, particularly reducing pH increasing sodium, exchangeable sodium percentage electrical conductivity saturation extract. combination mitigates salt stress by favouring accumulation nitrogen matter, while favours potassium soil. increases contents phosphorus when using 0.8 irrigation.

Soil and Water Salinity
Definitions and forms of salinity All natural waters contain soluble salts. The concentration of the salts determines whether the water is of high quality (drinkable or usable for irrigation without need for special precautions) or of low quality (brackish or saline). Water in the soil also contains soluble salts (sometimes called free or nonattached salts). The amount of salts in the root zone...
متن کاملChemical attributes of soil under no-till farming affected by crop systems and fertilization sources
Crop systems and fertilization sources can affect the chemical properties of the soil and, consequently, its fertility. With the aim of evaluating the effect of such management practices, soil samples collected at 0.0-0.10; 0.10-0.20; and 0.20-0.40 m in depth were collected and analyzed in the second year of an experiment installed in 2006 in a Rhodic Hapludox under no-till farming, located in ...
متن کاملAssessing Relation of Soil Hydrophobicity and Soil Water Content and Determining Threshold Moisture of Organic Soil Samples
Soil water content is the most effective factor associated with the hydrophobic and hydrophilic changes in a soil. Water repellency in soils, is not a permanent feature; it can be reached in the dry season and reduced or eliminated in the wet season It can be said that in terms of moisture, there is a critical region that is defined as the threshold moisture content, where in lower moisture, th...

to study the effect of three soil fertilizing systems (chemical, organic, and integrated) on forage yield and quality of globe artichoke (cynara scolymus) an experiment was conducted using a randomized complete block design (rcbd) of four replications at the research farm of college of agriculture, university of tehran, karaj, iran in 2006. the treatments included 5 levels of chemical fertilize...
متن کاملSoil organic carbon under different landscape attributes in croplands of Northeast China
Soil organic carbon (SOC) was measured in topsoil samples of agricultural soils from 311 locations of Jiutai County, Northeast China. The spatial characteristics of SOC were studied using the Geographic Information Systems and geostatistics. Effects of other soil physical and chemical properties, elevation, slope, soil type and land use type were explored. SOC concentrations followed a lognorma...
